Thanks to Tom and all who responded. I knew about Oracle and their ...
how to say it ... obstructionism, that's why I moved to LO. I was never
happy about Java for any application. It is interpreted, and even with a
reasonable "just in time" compiler, it is still slow. But my colleagues
in CS ... I'll fetch 3.4.3 and the OpenJSP to see if that will replace
what little need I have for Java.
