Apart from what others told, you can have personal word lists.
See Tools > OPtions > Language settings > Writing aids.
Those are placed in your LibreOffice user profile

You can set the language for various parts of your text,
Either via styles (F11, tab Font of a style), either direct (Tools >
Language > ..)
There is a simpler way for a section of text. Highlight the
text...click on the language notation at the bottom center of the
page...hover over 'set language for paragraph'...click on 'more...'
...select language in drop down box. All language selections that
have dictionaries are noted with a check mark and 'abc'.
