Did you get a good answer to this?  It might be worth asking again either as a 
new thread or by posting something into the same thread to "bump the thread".  
The Users List suddenly had a surge of activity after a few weeks of peace and 
calm so a few things got missed.

I generally use OpenOffice 3.2.1 only for one reason - it has "Active
OLE Object outplace" feature. This makes my work more comfortable. But
in the new version of OpenOffice this feature disappeared. Also it is
apply to LibreOffice 3.4.3. So, it is possible to recover "Active OLE
