Full docX support, as specified by the ISO standard, is apparently already the 
way LibreOffice supports docX.  The problem is usually that MS Office doesn't 
use the ISO spec so we have to work out how to adjust LO to be as quirky as MS 
Office.  Of course LO probably does have it's own quirks and bugs and those are 
hopefully being worked on to bring them in line with MSO practicalities rather 
than the idealised spec.  

I think there is an MS Office 2007 and a 2010 but afaik not a 2011 unless it's 
on Mac.  The MS Office 2008 is only for Macs and is really just 2007 with a 
different name to make it sound more advanced.  I heard a rumour that it was 
MSO 2003 with just the gui hacked around to give it the ribbon but rumours like 
that are not worth trusting.
