Or change indentation before text in header paragraph style (I prefer to do everything with styles, so sliding ruler is not an option for me). It is so simple, and I have never actually though about it. Thanks about a tip. > It is a GOOD thing that LO allows this, Miroslaw. Polish typographic rules defines "column" as potentially printed area of page (so it is basically page size minus margins). Page numbers (called "pagina") should be at top or bottom part of page. Pagina on top should be placed *below* top margin, while pagina on bottom should be placed *on* bottom margin (LO places footer above margin, so you have to make bottom margin smaller, so margin plus footer would equal preferred margin size). No text should be placed on left or right margins. Most books in Poland have page numbers inside text margins (with exception for bottom pagina, which is on bottom margin). Of course there are many exceptions (photo albums, encyclopedias etc.). Moreover, typography is more like set of recommendations than strict rules. But general principle is that no text should be outside main text margins (outside column, in polish meaning of that word). As far as I know, English-American typography is really different than European (most of all, German, on which Polish is modeled on), so your experience may vary. -- Best regards Mirosław Zalewski -- For unsubscribe instructions e-mail to: [email protected] Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/users/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted
