I agree that for a beginner (or someone transitioning from another program) it might be confusing. It would really be nice if LO offered an alternative interface to allow new users to get acquainted to the programs they are used to and eventually "switch" to the whole suite (even though it was there all the time) Tom wrote > > If you really need to restrict people to just the 2 apps then AbiWord is > smaller and lighter-weight than Writer > http://www.abisource.com/ > It is highly likely that there is a far better way to make presentations > than either PowerPoint or Impress. > Abiword is nice and light but it is not on the same league as Writer (depending on the user requirements, obv) but to my knowledge there is no standalone Open Source presentation program available. The nearest you can get is a standalone Freeware ;) Regards, Pedro -- View this message in context: http://nabble.documentfoundation.org/Avoid-destop-window-tp3723377p3725141.html Sent from the Users mailing list archive at Nabble.com. -- For unsubscribe instructions e-mail to: [email protected] Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/users/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted
