Hi :) Perhaps you have an Extension or something that uses java? If you rename your user profile then it effectively hides all the extensions from LibreOffice so that LO starts "set back to factory defaults". Regards from Tom :)

However, that's not my problem. As my original post indicates. I get a popup the *moment* I begin typing a new Writer document. My understanding is that JRE is only required for specific functions in Writer, not for use of the program at all. I prefer not to have Java running in the background when I'm using Writer, especially when I'm not doing anything that requires Java. Again, when typing anything in a newly created document, I get this popup. This never happens in OpenOffice on the same computer with the same configuration and preferences. I assume I'm triggering some kind of wizard or the like in LibreOffice that does not exist in OpenOffice, but I have not been able to determine what that could be given that typing anything triggers the message. -- View this message in context: http://nabble.documentfoundation.org/Enable-JRE-Alert-when-starting-Writer-document-tp3817704p3818067.html Sent from the Users mailing list archive at Nabble.com. -- For unsubscribe instructions e-mail to: [email protected] Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/users/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted -- For unsubscribe instructions e-mail to: [email protected] Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/users/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted
