By chance do you have the following checked?
Tools>Options>Writer>Compatibility>"Use printer metrics for document
formatting"
Tried it and it makes no difference.
I have tried out other software packages and some print correctly and
others not. I think it's more of a system issue than LibreOffice.
Cheers

I never tired the "use printer metrics" since I have several printers.
I use CUPS-PDF as my default printing. I use my HP Laserjet 2300dn for
B/W and B/W duplex printing, and I either use my Epson duplexing inkjet
or color laser for color printing. SO since each has different metrics,
it would play havoc on formatting. I usually print a PDF version if I
need to involve different printers. For Writer documents, I either
Export to PDF or print to CUPS-PDF, depending on the need for specialty
fonts.
I just wish LO would pick up the duplexing for both my duplex capable
printers, instead of just one. It seems to be a hit/miss issue.
Maybe one day more of these printer issues will be eliminated, but we
just have to live with it. The paper tray bug is the real big one for
some business users, or so I have heard.
Well you cannot expect a package under 2 years to get everything right,
even if it is based on a parent software. Especially if you try to fix
all the bad and unusable coding in that parent software while you add
features.
Glad your issue is solved.
