Ok, thanks. I hadn't installed it yet but cancelled it as soon as I
saw the German in the installer. So I don't know what version the
menus of the installed LibreOffice would've been. Now I've set all my
localization settings to USA/English (including lying about my
location, not happy with that), tried again and the installer spoke
English like it should. I still did the custom install, though, to
disable almost all dictionaries (thanks for the hint).

For the record, I consider it a bug if I specifically download a
version for one language and get another.
