Hi :) Windows uses NtLdr instead of Grub so i guess you are talking about not having a dual-boot system. Hmm, not sure about Win7 and Vista but perhaps still the same one.
Most system running "Grub2" are actually on Grub 1.98 or around there. I don't know how to find out what i am on.
