You can take an empty document and set the desired language in the paragraph style "default". Then you save this document as document template. Whenever you need this language, you generate your new document not from the default template but from this special template. Kind regards Regina

Question concerns a localized version of Writer. When I start a new document a default language is set to the paragraph. Its name is displayed on a status bar. Quite often however, I need to write documents in foreign language. Now, if I want to set the other language, I need to scroll down the whole list of all available options each time. It would be much more convenient to see the other language name right away (beside a default one). Is there any way to set its name permanently on the list? I noticed that this can be achieved if the user interface language is different then a default language for documents (but it's not exactly what I want). Thank you very much for any help.
