Its good to see that there are now .DEB packages for installation because for awhile there wasn't. I'm thankful for all the suggestions, it just seems I need to get a good grounding in Terminal theory now. I'm glad I made the change over to Ubuntu as there is so much more support out there for it when compared to other distros.
