The file you linked is NOT an Excel file. It is an incorrectly formed HTML file. In fact it is a plain text file containing a table in HTML. If you rename the file extension from xls to html it will open correctly in LibreOffice Writer/Web You just need to select the whole table and paste it in a new spreadsheet. The reason why it opens correctly in Excel is that Microsoft is paternalistic towards users :) Hope this helps ;) -- View this message in context: http://nabble.documentfoundation.org/Exported-XLS-doesn-t-opens-in-Calc-tp4041790p4045066.html Sent from the Users mailing list archive at Nabble.com. -- For unsubscribe instructions e-mail to: [email protected] Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/users/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted
