I'm using LibreOffice 3.5.4.2 on Debian Linux. After I create a footnote on a page, say page 1, and create a footnote, let's say Footnote # 1, how can I create a second footnote to reference the same footnote #1? All I want for the second footnote is a superscript numeral 1 in the body of the text.

o Go to Insert | Cross-reference... | Cross-references.
o Under Type, select Footnotes.
o Under Selection, select your existing footnote.
o Click Insert.

I trust this helps.
