Anne, I went there and I find freeware first and foremost. I also see ads there. Now you are right about tucows and cnet: they are businesses. But the gizmo site does not really seem to be that different: only the comments and suggestions are more detailed than on the two sites we mentioned. It is not exactly clear how they differ from techsupportalert otherwise. As for the lack of difference between the four software and LibreOffice : do you mean to say you are not familiar with free & open source software ? If not... waow.
