Hi Herald,
I checked your references, but I did not see any profile.
What I did with both computers, I totally deleted LibreOffice,
deleted all references to LibreOffice including the entire folders
C:\Program Files\LibreOffice,
C:\Users\Greg\AppData\Roaming\LibreOffice. I then ran CCleaner,
including running the registry cleaner, I then ran Privazer, then
rebooted.
I then did a clean, new download of LibreOffice, the Help file and
documentations in pdf format. I had to re-enter all my preferences. I
have java on my laptop, but not on the desktop. I was able to
download java a few weeks ago. The java web site now would not let me
download java on either computer using Windows Edge, or Firefox. I
kept getting a 503 error. Do I really need java, other than the
database?

I don't know if Impress will work yet, I haven't tried it yet. I
completed the original presentation project, despite it's continual
crashing. I have to figure out a new project to try.
Thank you for responding.

Hi Gregory,
it's a pity that it doesn't work properly for you.
Please have a look at the points in the following link:
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/FirstSteps
Test steps 3 and 2 from there, in that order, to see if it brings
improvement.
If this is not helpful, I would ask you to upload your Impress file
somewhere in the cloud and post the link here.
So that someone can look at the file, test and investigate whether
there are also problems. Thank you.
Best Regards
Harald

Hi
Recently, I volunteered to teach computer classes at a senior
center. I'm teaching Excel, Word, Power Point, etc. I'm trying to
promote LibreOffice. I use LibreOffice at home. However, I am
having an extremely difficult time with LibreOffice Impress. After
saving after every new slide, LibreOffice crashes on me. I send
the crash report, restore the program, then I have to reposition the
last slide (What was slide 13, is now slide 12). My presentation is
only 15 slides. In other words, LibreOffice crashed 15 times!
I am using LibreOffice vs 7.4.2.3 on a Windows 10 vs 10.0.19044
laptop.
I want to do a presentation on LibreOffice using Impress, but
not with that nonsense.
