Did you try changing the name before you hit Modify?
In Define Ranges dialog, I think it works if you select the desired
range, modify the name in the "Name" field, then click Modify.

happens, as the range seems to be immediately deselected by hitting
Modify. Can someone help me see the solution?
Instead of renaming, do I need to just define a new range and delete
the old range, or can I rename the old range?
