Only way I could think of to do that would be to write a listener (macro) That 
recognizes the new row event (assuming there is one and I didn't look to see if 
there is one) that would then automatically insert a date. You could also write 
a macro that just inserts one and then assign it to a keystroke so you just hit 
one key and it automatically inserts the date into the first column of whatever 
row is current.
