Hi John! I have a fix, which was tested by NOAA. I did not include it in GE 2011.11 because I did not expect that many people are building clusters using OSX (most clusters have migrated to Linux).
We are going to release a patch version for GE 2011.11 next year with the fix - ie. a week or 2 from now!
