Almost!

I'm not near an SGE install but there is one other file you need to worry about. It's a text file that contains a simple integer value for the "next" SGE job ID.

The file is called "jobseqnum" and it's found spool/qmaster/jobseqnum

You don't have to restore it from backup, just find the current file in your system and edit it appropriately while SGE is not running.
