sorry, I missed an important information, my mpich version :

# rpm -qa|grep -i mpich
mpich2-1.2.1-2.3.el6.x86_64

from rpm info:

The mpich2 binaries in this RPM packages were configured to use the default
process manager 'MPD' using the default device 'ch3'. 

But I also have /usr/bin/mpiexec.hydra, 

I'll read a bit more about this.
