yes (!) it was working with the very same Makefile,
and as said, 'qmake' still works with some other Makefile(s)
But here there is only a core dump, no message

hum... should I recompile qmake with the newer version of make. Would it
be difficult ?
AFAICS `qmake` is based on `make` 3.78.1 and there was already an issue with
this older version on this list.
