Hi, IPv6 is supposed to be "THE" protocol to be used for IP QoS. Its header contains two fields that can be used by QoS mechanisms. However, I haven't seen any mechanism that really fullfill the QoS promise. Does anybody know if such mechanisms are being (or have been) developped to provide QoS with IPv6. ? I do know that Diffserv can be used with IPv6 but as far as I can see (but I haven't really studied it thoroughly) there is no benefit of using Diffserv for IPv6 compared to using Diffserv for IPv4. If I am wrong I would like to hear what the IPv6 advantage is here! Regards, Saskia Neuijen ---------------------------------------------------------------- Ir. Saskia M.J.G.
