Not out of the box it doesn't :
(unless I'm doing something wrong?) :
/etc/resolv.conf :
search bl.echidna.id.au
nameserver 3ffe:8001:5:2:a00:20ff:fe18:a87d
ring# nslookup
Default Server: ring
Address: 0.0.0.0
> www.sharks.org.au
Server: ring
Address: 0.0.0.0
*** ring can't find www.sharks.org.au: No response from server
ring# ping6 www.sharks.org.au
ping6: non-recoverable failure in name resolution
ring# uname -a
OpenBSD ring 2.7 GENERIC#0 i386
That config works fine on Solaris 8 though :
[rollcage]/home/carl{268} : more /etc/resolv.conf
nameserver 3ffe:8001:5:2:a00:20ff:fe18:a87d
domain bl.echidna.id.au
[rollcage]/home/carl{271} : ping -s www.sharks.org.au
PING www.sharks.org.au: 56 data bytes
64 bytes from rollcage.bl.echidna.id.au (3ffe:8001:5:2:a00:20ff:fe18:a87d):
icmp_seq=0. time=2. ms
[rollcage]/home/carl{272} : uname -a
SunOS rollcage 5.8 Generic sun4m sparc SUNW,SPARCstation-10
Is there a flag to set somewhere on OpenBSD (or in any of the Kame
patches?) to get it to resolve via IPv6?
Carl
