% some Qs:
%
% Is it legal to assign a random ipv6 address and use
% it? Otherwise, whom do I contact to obtain an IPv6
% address ?
no its not legal. you could use the IP address
that is automatically assigned to your system when
IPv6 is enabled.
Or you can use the 2002:: space (6to4)
% The basic problem: I need to send messages using raw
% sockets between two linux systems connected to the
% Internet(both systems have ipv6 module compiled). How
% do I assign ipv6 addresses to both of them and
% establish a connection between them ?
if they are on the same network, the automatically assigned
numbers ought to be just fine.
