This is a FYI in case other people have butted heads against this..
I recently picked up a Linksys "WAP11" wireless access point. I was
dismayed to find out that it didn't work with ipv6 (I only tried with
WEP and MAC-address filtering enabled). Something was interfering
with router advertisements; most likely ethernet multicast forwarding
from wired to wireless wasn't working.
The access point came from the store with a firmware version of
"1.009". Despite no mention of a problem involving either multicast
or ipv6 in the release notes, a firmware upgrade to 1.01c (dated
7/31/02) fixed the problem.
