Doesn't RFC 2874 give sufficient info? You might also do some tests together with e.g. a version of BIND that supports A6. Stig Hi, Yes I need to test the DNS with BIND 9.x. Must use a packet capture utility to do that. I had one more question regarding recursion and A6 record query. If I ask for recursion for A6 query, will the server return A6 chains of different parts individually, or as one single IP address ? In first case, I will be able to cache intermediate server names also. In that case, how will be the answer returned ? Latter case gives me lesser processing. I can just copy the address into user buffer. Will it be returned in bit string format or RFC 1886 style colon separated IP address ? Hope someone can solve my problem. Thanks and regards, Sarang. --------------------------------------------------------------------- The IPv6 Users Mailing List Unsubscribe by sending "unsubscribe users" to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
