Hi,

First of all sorry for my late reply: I was sick. Thanks for your answer. It solved my problem not because of your routing table but because of the /16 address remark. It had to be /64 thanks! And to answer your question: the fd::/64 addresses I'm using are Unique Local Unicast addresses. It's kind of an equivalent to the IPv4 private networks!

Thanks again

steven

hi
i dont know if u got my email but i replied to the mailing list but i have
some troubles related to my webmail interface (dont know what it is but
the mailing list replies dont work from my webinterface.. but i get the
emails.. strange.. )
anyway.. i wanted to help u and so i thought i will send u this from
another machine.. maybe it helps:

Hi
you've got _some_ routing entries *ggg*
first of all: where did u get such an address? i thought only 2000:: and
2001:: prefixes are destributed by now? and how did u manage to get /16??
i tried to read itthrough and, just guessing (i just try to learn that
stuff myself), but because u said its a simple problem i try to show u
what i did .. maybe it can help u;

my infrastructure

lan - gw: 2001:16d8:ff47:1203:2::1/2001:16d8:ff47:1203:1::6  --- gw:
2001:16d8:ff47:1203:1::7/2001:16d8:ff47:1203:3::1 - lan

between these two routers is a network 2001:16d8:ff47:1203:1:: located and
there'S another router (2001:16d8:ff47:1203:1::5)with routes to (sry, i
cant give u the tables here)
2001:16d8:ff47:1203:1:: over eth1
2001:16d8:ff47:1203:2:: with gw 2001:16d8:ff47:1203:1::6
2001:16d8:ff47:1203:3:: with gw 2001:16d8:ff47:1203:1::7
2000::/3 with gw sixxs-tunnel-endpoint

and speaking of the first gw mentioned above with internal ip
2001:16d8:ff47:1203:2::1 and ext. 2001:16d8:ff47:1203:1::6 i only have
following entries:

2001:16d8:ff47:1203:1::/80 dev eth1  metric 256  mtu 1500 advmss 1440
hoplimit 64
2001:16d8:ff47:1203:2::/80 dev eth0  metric 256  mtu 1500 advmss 1440
hoplimit 64
2000::/3 via 2001:16d8:ff47:1203:1::5 dev eth1  metric 1024  mtu 1500
advmss 1440 hoplimit 64
fe80::/64 dev eth0  metric 256  mtu 1500 advmss 1440 hoplimit 64
fe80::/64 dev eth1  metric 256  mtu 1500 advmss 1440 hoplimit 64
ff00::/8 dev eth0  metric 256  mtu 1500 advmss 1440 hoplimit 1
ff00::/8 dev eth1  metric 256  mtu 1500 advmss 1440 hoplimit 1
unreachable default dev lo proto none metric -1 error -101 hoplimit 255

i hope this helps..
happy routing!
sylvia
