Hi Sandro,
On my second visit , I downloaded the Standard Edition of JCRBrowser. The readmefirst.txt clearly mentions to install the jcr browser as eclipse plugin. I do not see any instructions to use this tool outside Eclipse. I am Netbeans user and can use it either inside Netbeans or as a standalone application . 
Is it possible either way ?

Hi Ruchi,
yes, the JCRBrowser is an Eclipse plugin and thus works only within Eclipse or within jLibrary. But if there are times when your Java program does not lock the repository the JCRBrowser 
can also access it via the filesystem.
I am a novice to JSR170 world. Can you point me to instructions where I can use this repository browser to explore the content created by sample java program. Actually, this sample java program are the Jackrabbit samples Hopper programs . I have the content created in the repository , but it stores the content in non human readable form. Can I not navigate the repository for the created content , without reading the content back progammatically.

I think it currently can only be run within Eclipse or jLibrary. But you can
