I modified the populate.jsp and made it to be able to import a single file by specifying a url.
It can be used like this: http://myhost:8080/jackrabbit/import.jsp?url=http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f1040.pdf?portlet=3 It could be convenient for some testing.
