Hi all, I have developed an ontology file (wollf.owl) to describe movies from a cinema. I have also created the RDF file (wolff.rdf). In the ontology, I describe that a Movie has an object property 'hasActor' which refers to resource Actor. I also define another object property 'becomesActorOf' as an inverse of 'hasActor´ property. So, my intention is if I describe a movie to have an actor, then Jena will automatically infer that that actor becomes actor in that movie.
I wrote a program (WolffQuery.java) to perform query test against the RDF file. The RDF file has a movie resource 'Spectre', which has a statement ':Spectre hasActor Monica_Bellucci'. In my query in the program, I want to test if the question "what movie is starred by Monica Bellucci" by using predicate "becomesActorOf" should result in "Spectre". Unfortunately, the query results nothing. However, if I print all statements from resource 'Monica Bellucci', Jena recognizes that 'Monica Bellucci' has property 'becomesActorOf' which refers to 'Spectre'. My questions are: - Why does my query above result nothing, while Jena itself recognizes the corresponding statement? - Does my approach correct? Generally, what I want to do is to perform some OWL reasoning against my RDF file. Thanks!
