I also agree that JSON-LD is not suited as a format for queries results. In this regard I also suggest no changes. However, I think it would be really useful to support nested JSON results. So with regard to this instead, I do suggest this change as an improvement. I would like to help coding this feature, but the codebase is just too overwhelming for me... I don't even know where to start.
