Based on what I've read in the Kannel User's Guide and Architecture
documents, I have a question dealing with Kannel connectivity with WAP
phones.
For example, say Kannel Software is running on a host named KANNELHOST while
the bearerbox listener for WAP messages is configured to listen for WAP
messages on a port named WAPPORT.Based on what I've read so far, I
understand that WAP-based phones must send WAP messages directly to WAPPORT
on KANNELHOST with all the appropriate protocol fields for the WAP message.
This will connect the WAP phone with the bearerbox on KANNELhost. My
question/concern is: Will the bearerbox/wapbox accept WAP PULL requests not
initiated from a WAP phone? More specifically, what problems can I expect if
I have another host in my network forwarding WAP messages from WAP-based
phones to the bearerbox/wapbox. In this case, responses to the WAP messages
would also be returned to the WAP phone via the same host (that forwarded
the messages).
Since the scenario described above is for a PULL scenario, what additional
complications (if any) could I expect in a PUSH scenario if a forwarding
host were used between the bearerbox/wapbox and the WAP phone?

Thank you for your help.
