Hi, We were able to successfully use the kannel to receive SMS message from voicestream mobile phones on RedHAT. We are using kannel version 1.0.3. But with the same version(1.0.3) on Solaris 2.6 we observed the following problems.
The message will arrive at the Bearerbox (from the entries in kannel.log, kannel.access) But it was not received by the smsbox(No entries in sms.access. Both the processes bearerbox and smsbox are running. If we restart the kannel, everything will be fine. 1) This problem usually occurs if we don't send any test message for a long time (4 hrs or so). But this happend atleast a couple of times , even when we were sending SMS messages actively. There is a disconnect between bearerbox and SMSbox . But the process are running without crashing. I would like to know what other things should we check? This was working fine in Linux. Thanks, Kannan.
