this doesnt work if the message cannot be submitted to the smsc - i.e. the connection is down.
You can try two smsc groups, both with the same smsc-id, then kannel will "load balance" across the the 2.

That's one way to do it, but wouldn't it be nice to have a failover in Kannel.


I have a connection to a provider using CIMD2. They have two servers - one primary and one secondary. I can log in with the same username and password on both. It would have been nice if I could specify two servers on the host parameter of the smsc group;

host=host1,host2

If the first host cuts the connection, then Kannel could connect to the second host.
