HI Gagan
I personally tried the following modems:
- Siemens MC35
- Wavecom FastTrack
- SonyEricsson GM29

The cheapest is GM29; the most reliable is MC35.
Both FastTrack and GM29 has some problems. E.g., both cannot handle dlr's
(FastTrack gets crazy after the 1.st dlr is received and it's no more
capable of receiving "normal" SMS, at least in PDU mode; GM29 returns bad
TP-MR upon sending of SMS, so you cannot associate the returned TP-MR with
the one stored in the related dlr); FastTrack sometimes turns E0 <-> E1, V0
<-> V1 or +CMGF=0 <-> +CMGF=1 automagically.
Also MC35 has some bugs, e.g., it returns bad alphanumeric addresses (TP-OA)
in text mode, both when you choose GSM and UCS2 charset. Nevertheless, I
think it's the most reliable (unfortunately, it's also the most expensive of
the three).

Hi

I haven't tested any of the phones you're talking about.
I have tried Nokia 7110 and 6210 and they both worked fine.
But if you want to make stable solutions you should probably choose some
GSM modem instead like Wavecom or Siemens.
I've never tested Siemens, but I've heard they're good.
In the company I work in, we use Wavecom modems and haven't had any
problems eith them so far.

Best regards,
