Hello Navjot,
I have done some R$D on this but was unable to do this.

Essentially, when we submit across a message to the SMSC, it accepts the message based
on the number and it doesnot mask the number, this goes beyond their privacy policy...
so essentially only if the SMSC works along with, you can do something about it else
you cant.

I am also lookking for some way around if possible..

Regards
Gagan

Subject: AlphaNumeric Source Number?

Hi List,

I have kannel 1.2.1/Linux 8 running perfectly with GSM SIM connected. Say
this SIM has number 9800011111

When i send an SMS to some cellphone, that cellphone shows that the message
has come from 9800011111.
I wish that the recipients see "Navjot" and not "9800011111".

How can i go about it? Is it possible to do without any support from SMSC?

---------------
regards
Navjot Singh
