Hi there, I run many kannel machines (using 1.4 cvs from a while ago on mostly full upgraded redhat 9 or RH Enterprise) all using mysql DLR's and around 20-30 smsc connections each with a mix of smpp 3.3,3.4 and UCP connections, with a range of uptimes from 1 day (config change) to around 230 days. I've had no stability issues at *all*, well, apart from a few log files reaching the file system limits! (my fault / logrotate's)
The one thing I have found, either through my config, the compilation or otherwise, when using the latest release of 1.4 on the website, starting the daemons using the -d switch doesn't start either of them, and doesn't put them into the background as a daemon - when I have more time to debug, I'll let the devel list know. I believe instability to be more on the setup of the actual server than kannel in most cases!
