Hi ,
I wish this will help for the other users also . actually my setup is like this .
mobile
client ----------> GGSN --------A------->Proxy -----B----->> WAP Server
|
|
C
|
|
Kannel
WAP/GW ------D-------->> WAP Server
# If mobile client WAP 1.2 , from the GGSN will parse the all radius accounting packets to the kannel GW along the msisdn. so he can access wap server . without the msisdn client do not have rights to access wap server.
# When WAP 2.0 comes in to the network , First from the GGSN will parse the radius accounting info to the kannel . but he cant access wap server. bcause kannel doesnt support for WAP 2.0
# To solve that problem , we have to have a proxy . ( I found some articles from the mailing list )
but , can we parse the msisdn to the proxy via the kannel GW ?
and how can we capture session id and the ip address that assigned to the client and parse to the proxy ?
actually without such info wap server wont accept any request from the client .( We are doing such
validations )
Thanx in advance,
Luke.

Hi,
We use Squid for the WAP2 clients. There is nothing that you have to
do in kannel to get it working. If a phone/browser is WAP2 it will
use HTTP (over TCP) and your device config and Squid setup should just
match. There is nothing special to configure in Squid, you just run
it as a normal proxy...
You have the added benefit, that you can make Kannel use this server as a proxy.
