Is Kannel suitable for use as a simple SMS<->Modem gateway? I'm a bit
scared off by the bulk of Kannel, and the complexity of all the WAP stuff.
I've got a Multitech serial modem, an 'unlimited' SMS plan, and whish to
gateway bout 100 messages a day through the modem. The originating
computer has no wireless access, so the modem has to be remote. The
originating application is in Java. We have little budget, and can't
afford a shortcode.
Is there a simpler package out there? Or is Kannel a good choice?
