May be the problem with your USB modem. try to connect it from minicom and see. (it should accept AT commands). otherthan that i cant see any problem in your config .

I read in some posts that this problem could be caused by an unstable modem or SMSC. Could there be any work around on this? I just really need to revive my Kannel installation. Thanks in advance,
