Hi Richard,

if you refer to the capability to use Kannel on the SMPP server side, then I can
suggest my commercial add-on component known as the Kannel SMPP v3.4 server
(smppbox), that allows using Kannel as a virtual SMSC solution with the
following connection scheme:

  upstream SMSC <-SMPP/UCP/HTTP/..-> bearerbox <-> smppbox <-SMPP-> SMPP client

So smppbox attaches to bearerbox for the upstream MT, MO and DLR traffic. All
message types are supported and DLR msg ID handling is transparently mapped.
