I am using iTegno 3800 with usb port. the dmesg added when I added the device : usb 4-2: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 3 usb 4-2: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice pl2303 4-2:1.0: pl2303 converter detected usb 4-2: pl2303 converter now attached to ttyUSB0
from bearerbox /etc/kannel.conf.. it already connected and read the modem status with some command AT. Paul
