Opps. one more, sorry.

Can I get Kannel to accept the character set ASCII Roman8?
Part of our testing is to send the following text:

£100 ?1000 e.m...@address

Incase this email changes the characters that a euro sign infront of the 1000.
When the text is received the euro sign is changed to a question mark.

Thanks
Tony

  Hi again

Sorry another question I wanted to ask.

Is there a value to set the retry period after Kannel receives a "Throttling
error" from the smsc?
So if Kannel receives a throttling error from the smsc it will not try to
send anymore messages say for 30 seconds?

  Thanks
  Tony

      Hi Tony,

      Regarding Keepalive,
      Use enquire-link-interval for SMPP .

      Regarding Reconnect
      Default value is 10 Sec.
      To configure in kannel use
      reconnect-delay in smsc group

        Hello all

We are running some tests with out SMS provider prior to releasing us
on their live platform to allow us to send SMS messages.
There are 2 questions I would like to ask in hope someone has the
answers to them.

        - Keepalive
There is an option to add a keepalive value to the smsc group, which I
have currently set to 60 seconds. However I've read conflicting information as
to if this value is actually implemented if we are using SMPP. Can someone
clarify this?

        - Reconnect retry on unsuccesful bind attempt
Is there an option to set a reconnect retry to the smsc upon an
unsuccesful bind attempt? Or is this a default value that can't be changed, if
so what is the value?

        Thanks in advance.

        Tony
