My conclusion was 7 seconds per SMS in average for the modem in order to Send, Receive ACK (to SMS-C) and Receive Delivery Report (to the recipient) so for 100 recipient you will have 300 message to be handled by the modem (& kannel) But you can configure DLR mask in order to handle or not ACK &DLR, check user guide.
