Dear, I have a problem for which I will appreciate help and inputs.
I start kannel as a service (I can attach if required the init.d script). As you can see from the output below, I start bearerbox and smsbox with the parachute option. # ps -ef | grep kannel root 1781 1 0 08:01 ? 00:00:00 /usr/local/kannel/sbin/smsbox --daemonize --parachute --pid-file /var/run/kannel/smsbox.pid -- /etc/kannel/kannel.conf root 1782 1781 0 08:01 ? 00:00:42 /usr/local/kannel/sbin/smsbox --daemonize --parachute --pid-file /var/run/kannel/smsbox.pid -- /etc/kannel/kannel.conf root 7974 1 0 Feb24 ? 00:00:00 /usr/local/kannel/sbin/bearerbox --daemonize --parachute --pid-file /var/run/kannel/bearerbox.pid -- /etc/kannel/kannel.conf root 18752 7974 0 Mar01 ? 00:00:41 /usr/local/kannel/sbin/bearerbox --daemonize --parachute --pid-file /var/run/kannel/bearerbox.pid -- /etc/kannel/kannel.conf The problem is when bearerbox experience a problem and crashes, it kills smsbox, then restart itself, but smsbox never restarts. We need to come back and restart it manually. Is there a possibility to have bearerbox triggers a restart of smsbox? If needed I can provide relevant log and configuration file.
