Dear Gad,
Please send the details of rde_rde_config_file from
both the machines with the corresponding IP addresses and interfaces
assigned to it.

Regards

Subject: [Users] Issues Configuring on MontaVista CGE 4.0.1

So I have downloaded, compiled, and successfully installed the following
on 2 separate machines:

net-snmp-5.4.1

tipc-1.5.12

xerces-c_2_8_0-x86-linux-gcc_3_4

opensaf-1.0-3

I have also edited slot_id, rde_rde_config_file, and nodeinit.conf on
these 2 said systems to reflect 1 being an Active Controller and the
other as a Standby.

For some reason, controller 1 comes up, and when I try to start
controller 2, the RDE service just hangs and never starts.

Here is the output from /var/opt/opensaf/stdouts/ncs_rde on controller
2.

PID file : /var/run/rde.pid

Shelf number : 2

Slot number : 2

Site number : 1

Log level : 5

Interactive mode : FALSE

rde ncs_agents_startup success

 rde_fla_log_bind success

 RDE INITIALIZATION FAILED: %

Here is output from /var/opt/opensaf/stdouts/ncs_rde on controller 1.

PID file : /var/run/rde.pid

Shelf number : 2

Slot number : 1

Site number : 1

rde ncs_agents_startup success

 rde_fla_log_bind success
