Have you tried using a Fedora, Ubuntu or Debian system with the language support packages installed?
The translation process used to be complicated 6 years back, these days with input
methods/fonts/rendering engines being bundled as part of the main distro, things should not be
complicated at all. Even if a translation tool like KBabel or KAider is unavailable, a simple text
editor should do the trick for you.
