Hello, Yesterday, while installing Linux. I came across a strange problem. Fedora 10 was unable to play VCD. It is fine with playing other kinds of media like mp3 cd, dvd, DVDs, CDs containing video files in other formats, but not with the joliet vcds.
Here's what dmesg says when the vcd is inserted : Buffer I/O error on device sr0, logical block 635 ISO 9660 Extensions: Microsoft Joliet Level 3 ISOFS: changing to secondary root When trying to copy the .dat file, ddmeesg reports : Buffer I/O error on device sr0, logical block #### while trying to play the file via vlc, it shows : File reading failed: VLC could not read the file. While trying to play the file via totem, it shows : Could not open location; you might not have permission to open the file. But the file gets automounted. Is there a different way to mount such VCDs? The VCD works fine in Windows on the same machine. I have already installed libdvd* with libdvdcss from livna. Still getting this error. Please help.... Thanks, Regards, rtnpro _______________________________________________ Users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.dgplug.org/listinfo.cgi/users-dgplug.org
