I agree with Shakti. We should let the system administrator choose
whether he wants to automate the updating process some way (uing cron
or udev) or whether he wants to run the gui manually. I think the best
thing to do would be to provide two interfaces to the updating script.
One would be the gui and the other a cli interface or alternatively a
gui that accepts command line options so that tasks can be
automatically run from shell using cron or udev.
